Just in case you want to send a package

Dear Missionaries, Please forward this E-mail to your parents/families today.  Thank you.

Dear Parents and Family of Our Wonderful Missionaries,

We know you are busy preparing packages and cards for your missionary for Christmas and we thought we would send along some information that will help you with that.  So here are a few things to consider as you get things ready to send.

MC900296312[1]There will be a transfer just four days before Christmas.  That means your missionary could end up at a different address for Christmas than the one they are at now.  Any packages and/or Christmas gifts or cards need to arrive well before transfers so your missionary can take them with him/her when/if they move.  It will not be possible for packages that arrive at the old address after transfers to be forwarded in time for Christmas.

MC900296312[1]Plan so that your packages will arrive here, on or before December 15th.  If you will do that, we will do our part to make sure everyone gets their packages by Christmas.

MC900296312[1]Packages should be sent directly to your missionary’s apartment/house address.  If for some reason you need to sent packages to the Mission Office (which is a four hour drive away from some missionary apartments) please send it early and if possible, send it through the U.S. Post Office, because unlike UPS and FedEx, they will forward mail for free.

We love Christmas in the mission field!  There is a grand sense of purpose and celebration that helps us all to feel the profound meaning of our Savior’s birth, life and Atonement.

Your missionaries are the best!  We love them!  We love you for sending them to us.  They inspire us.

We hope that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas and that your families feel the blessings of having a missionary serving in the Virginia Richmond Mission.

Kind regards,
President and Sister Perry
Virginia Richmond Mission
