Transferred!

Hi everyone! Welp, I'm in Norfolk now. It was a really big transfer. I have always had a hard time with transfers because it means people leaving - but actually being transferred myself has been super difficult.  It's so hard leaving everyone, my investigators - Jesse and Dalila and Maurice specifically, but Jesse and Dalila are getting baptized on the 1st of December and I am hopeful that I'll be able to go back for it. I had no idea that it was possible to love a place and people that much so quickly.  It kinda feels like my heart has this big, harrisonburg shaped hole in it.  I know I will love other areas just as much, but it will take some time I think.  I'm trying to hit the ground running and put everything into it, just like I did in my last area.

I have some great pics to send you guys, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it on these computers...

Norfolk is very different than Harrisonburg. Completely different types of people here. My companion has been really sick so we haven't gone out much at all, but it's ok because I've gotten some great extra study time and unpacking and stuff.

We are going to a members house for thanksgiving with the elders and the senior couple in our ward.  Our bishop here is SUPER missionary oriented, and as such, he has 3 sets of missionaries in the ward.  It's good and hard at the same time.  Sometimes it feels like we are all pining after investigators, like a game of hungry-hungry hippos. But, it's nice having lots of missionaries around.  We don't really have any investigators here right now, so I feel like we are back at the drawing board... again. It's ok. My faith really grew in Harrisonburg and I saw miracles. Amazing ones. I know that God is aware of us, and that he is in the details of our lives. I think one day when we can see the big picture a little bit more clearly, we will be shocked and amazed at how much Heavenly Father has been a part of even our smallest moments. I know that He needed me in Harrisonburg, and I know that now he needs me in Norfolk. Even though  I wish I could have stayed in the burg forever!

My new address is:

We live with members in a little side apartment. They are SUPER nice!  They bought us hamburgers the other night, and fed us guacamole. They sure know how to take care of the missionaries. :)

Well, that's about it for me this week. I'll see if I can figure out how to send some pictures. I love you all! Have a good Thanksgiving and tell everyone I send my love.
