Conference Weekend

Hey! How was everyone's week? Mom and dad are cruisin around in Europe somewhere... meanwhile I'm sure the parties at the house are awesome... ;)
Conference was just great. I hope you all got to watch it. I have heard my brothers say that conference is better on the mission... and boy did I feel like I just got spiritually firehosed. I wish I could absorb it all.
I really liked elder Cook's talk Saturday morning. He talked about how some people view Christianity as a doctor only for the sick. He reminded us to NEVER FORSAKE THE MASTER, and to defend truth and bear powerful testimony to people.  And how important it is to live strictly and STAY truly converted. And pres Uchtdorf, of course was another favorite.  I like when he said that we can't complain on the road to discipleship, and how we need to enjoy the moments. Determine to do better, to be better, to become better. Our destiny is an eternal one. Elder Holland is just a powerhouse, I love his talks, as I'm sure all of you do too. Something that stood out to me was when he said the Lord needs disciples, and he needs them FOREVER.  the call is to come and to stay true.  The crowning characteristic of love is loyalty... we can't quit and we can't go back to the way we were before.
We went hiking in West Virginia for P-day. It was so pretty with all the leaves changing and everything... you know fall is my favorite! It also snowed on us... it's getting pretty cold here sometimes.  I don't love cold....
Well, literally all of our investigators dropped us this week. So I'm really hoping that we can start fresh and get some new good things going. I love you all, hope you are having a good week.  And does anybody have or know of a group called the "LOWER LIGHTS?" they sing church music and it's BEAUTIFUL! I guess they have 2 cd's... if anyone could get a hold of them for me... I'd be eternally grateful... :)
Love you all, hope you have a good week!
