Hey everyone!
Well, this week is crazy. I am a trainer now! Last week was a really hard one. Not only am I training, but because they have made this area one instead of two, we have an entirely new area to learn, new investigators to meet who all want their old missionaries back, and new speed limits to learn.... ;)
Thursday was transfer day, and it was so long. We had to get up at 4 AM to make it to Richmond in time for transfer meeting. Sister Wride was up packing until 1. So we were dead. President Perry asked me last minute to pay some prelude music - so I got the chance to do that, and then, literally 30 seconds before the meeting started, he asked me to play a musical number for the meeting. Like I said in my last letter... I don't know why people think I can just do these things on the spot! But you can't say no to the Pres - so I got up there and opened up a hymn and busted out an arrangement. Maybe the combination of having no sleep and being overwhelmed helped me forget about the notes and just let it flow... cause it turned out way better than I thought it would. I didn't even have to think about it.
So I got my greenie! Her name is sister Kuta. She is 21, and from Mesquite. She's great!
We have been so busy learning the new area and getting ours together. Things are super stressful, but they are good too. I'm sorry this week's letter kinda sucks, but I have to run. Love you all! Please pray for us and our success as a companionship and in our new area! Thanks so much for all you do.
Love,
Sister Skousen
