Hi family!

Hi everyone!  First of all, I hope Josh had a good birthday on wednesday.  My comp and I sang to him. I wonder if he heard it....
Anyways, this week has been completely crazy.  First of all, Tuesday night we played soccer.  Did anyone at home know I can actually play soccer? Suprise. I was juking out the hispanics... maybe it's my missionary powers, but I was actually pretty good and everyone kept commenting on what a good player I am.  Who knew? It was fun!  Then, after soccer, we discovered that sister wride locked the keys in the trunk of the car.  We don't have a spare.  So, DAD, thanks for putting me on your tripple A plan... we had to use it... :) it saved a couple of missionaries!!!
Wednesday I had the most wonderful suprise ever... A PACKAGE FROM THE WARD!!!! Oh my goodness, words can't describe how excited I was to open my "greenie" box! I attached a picture so you can see.  Also, notice how nice my apartment is... hahaha. JK it's great. That box was the best.  HUGE THANKS to ALL INVOLVED in getting it to me! Namely Kortni, Linze, and my Spencer! It made my week...no, my MONTH! :D AND I loved all the notes from ward members.  I've got them all up in my room.  Sometimes you feel like nobody here cares or gives a crud, then you get something like that and it gives you the boost you need to keep going with a smile.  So thanks again, I've got something I'm getting ready to send back for everyone... buuuut the store this morning only had one when I needed like 15... so it might be a week or two. :) I LOVE AND MISS THE SINGLES WARD!
OK, so Tuesday we met this girl named Kristen.  She is a referral from one of our members.  She is 18 and 9 months pregnant, and living out of her boyfriends car... her whole situation is just bad news bears.  Anyways, we met her, explained who we are and what we do, and asked if we could teach her and set up a lesson.  She said YES, and on Thursday we had lesson number one.  And guess what?  I got to say the magic words, and I felt the spirit so strong telling me to ask her to be baptized, and I did... and she said yes!  It was awesome!! Her situation is a bit sticky though, and I don't know that she is fully aware of what is about to hit her with this kid comes in a few weeks.  We went to dinner at a members house that same night, and they offered to take her in and give her a place to stay and a bed and everything.  Our members, Andrew and Mindy, are just the kindest people ever.  So, she said she was planning on church on Sunday.  We were so nervous she wouldn't show up, but she did!  Mindy and Andrew picked her up.  She looked so good.  We were relieved when she finally arrived.  It was fast and testimony meeting too, so you never know what you're gonna get, but it was seriously one of the best meetings I've ever attended.  The testimonies were so powerful, and right on target.  Kristen stayed all 3 hours and said that she didn't think 3 hours could go by so fast.  She completely loved it.  THEN she said that her boyfriend wanted to meet us.  So we dropped by after our dinner appointment on Sunday.  He was kind, and nice, and we talked, and he wants us to teach him about the gospel too.  My jaw just about hit the floor.  IT was amazing.  So we are teaching him for the first time today - we'll see how it goes!
In other news, did ya'll hear about the storms out here?! IT WAS INSANE!  If you remember how Josh described the moments before the storm that hit them, that's exactly how it was here.  I attached a pic of sis wride and I out watching the lightning.  I've never seen anything like it before!!! It was huge and awesome.  And scary. haha. There wasn't even a moment where the sky wasn't lit up by lightning hitting somewhere.  I wish I could have gotten a good picture!  The damage in the morning was crazy.  We cleaned up storm stuff all day.  People had trees through their houses.  You couldn't drive in the streets, and people are still going without power and some are without power and water.  Al lthe missionaries are sore from working so hard.
We are planning a musical fireside... after the missionaries found out I could play and stuff they said we had to do it! I'm a little nervous, but I hope it turns into a good finding activity.  I'm nervous. But excited! :)
Ok, well that's about it for this week.  We are feeling blessed that we have a couple people to teach.  I hope all is well at home.  I would like to see some letters from Amanda's wedding! Sad I had to miss it.  I'd also like an address for her if that's possible!!!
I have to go I'm out of time.  I love you all so much! Thanks for your letters, packages, prayers and support.  It means the world to me!!!
Oh I also attached a picture of Serenity and me.  I was so happy!!! Look how cute she is!!!!
